Lutheran World Federation- south Sudan Program is looking for a suitably qualified candidate for the position of ICT instructor to be based in Ajuong Thok Refugee camp, Unity State, South Sudan
Main Job Purpose
ICT Instructor is responsible for imparting theoretical and practicalICT skills to learners. He/She will guide and assist students in their entire learning experience, including welcoming them to the class, creating a curriculum and presenting all class information, how computer process and store information
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Set-up and clean-up classroom at the beginning and at the end of each class/session.
- To meet every class session promptly and ready for that sessions instruction.
- Coordination and implementation of instruction in an orderly and professional manner.
- Confirm that all materials are ordered and prepared for class sessions.
- Confirm necessary arrangements for the class sessions.
- Coordination and implementation of one-on-one instruction in an orderly and professional manner.
- Preparing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports in accordance with donor requirements.
- Preparation of schemes of work, lesson plans, evaluation of learners and prepare progress records.
- Tracking attendance, assigning homework, grading assignments, giving feedback and communicating effectively with students at all levels of technological understanding.
- Other tasks that teachers may complete include holding office hours, ensuring that class materials are up to date, reviewing curriculum and demonstrating professionalism in dealing with others.

Other key responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership as class instructor
- To provide technical assistance to Education officer and Assistant education officers
- ICT planning and budgeting.
- To build a strong education team in the location and provide (on-the-job) capacity building for the project staff.
- To coordinate and facilitate surveys, evaluations and partner/donor visits to the project area
- To work collaboratively Education Sector, child protection and other implementing partners to strengthen education initiatives.
- Promote innovation and creativity in the development of Education resources and materials
- Oversee formation of student council and attend their meetings
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· Degree in Education or Computer Science degree.
· Computer literate in Microsoft, Lotus, Corel, and other applications.
· At least Three years of experience in similar work within education project work and service delivery to communities, particularly training.
· 3 years experience of refugee education
· Excellent communication and presentation skills
· Committed instructor with heart for disadvantaged communities such as the marginalized including refugees
· Strong education project management skills, motivation and with capacity to act with firmness and diplomacy in a multi–cultural context.
· Hardworking and able to work under pressure on short deadlines with minimum supervision
· Demonstrate integrity, excellence, stewardship, and collaborative abilities.
· Display trustworthiness, honesty, confidentiality and should be comfortable working in a team
· Capable of writing clear reports concept notes and proposals in English
· Ability to lead
