Ethiopia: REGIONAL FINANCE AND CONTROLLING COORDINATOR

Reports to Finance Advisor with responsibility for:

Finance & Controlling Services for Member Associations by:

· Providing financial information to support the linking of needs and funds

· Supporting budgeting processes,

· Monitoring accounting and statistical data capture and quality

· Liaising in the management of local and international funds

· Engagement in development & implementation of sound internal control systems,

· Involvement in audit processes

· Building capacity to manage finance

· Ensuring implementation of finance related international policies, standard and guidelines

Providing Finance Services for General Secretariat (GSC) through:

· Supporting the preparation of the budgets of the regional / branch office

· Preparing accounts for the regional / branch office

· Facilitating external financial audit processes for the regional / branch office

Position requirements:

· A degree in commerce, accounting, finance or equivalent

· At least 5 years solid accounting/finance experience, preferably in an NGO or public funded environment;

· Very good team working;

· A contextual understanding of Eastern and Southern Africa; and

· The ability to travel frequently.
