GENERAL FUNCTION:

Internews media and information projects serve more than 200,000 (Internally Displace People) IDPs living in the UNMISS Protection of Civilian sites (PoCs) and adjacent districts. These Communications with Communities (CwC) projects are staffed by local teams but we need an expert Humanitarian Multimedia Trainer (HMT) to help build the capacity of South Sudanese and Sudanese community correspondents. Our primary medium is live radio, but we also use other media including live entertainment shows, dramas, news broadcasts, music shows, panel discussions, and other content. Work at any of our project sites – currently at Bentiu, Wau, Malakal, and Ajuong Thok – is possible.

The HMT will have excellent mentoring and training aptitude, extensive experience in journalism and/or communications experience with a strong awareness of the needs of humanitarian work.
