JOB SUMMARY
PSI/Ethiopia is seeking a motivated, creative, enthusiastic and resourceful professional to join its expanding program on FR/RH. The Adolescents 360 Ethiopia Project Manager will provide country-specific leadership and technical direction for an anticipated regional adolescent reproductive health program that employs user centered design to increase demand for quality contraceptive services among adolescent girls, reduce unintended pregnancy, increase modern contraceptive prevalence and address unmet need. This position reports to the Country Representative for PSI/Ethiopia, is based in Addis Ababa and requires approximately 25% travel.
**This position is contingent on funding. *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Country Project Manager will manage the implementation of an anticipated three-year, adolescent reproductive health program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical (clinical and non-clinical) leadership on the provision of family planning (FP) services.
  • Ensure programs adhere to current internationally accepted health service delivery norms and standards.
  • Build and maintain solid and sustained relationship with Ministry of Health and other family planning stakeholders
  • Coordinate with Reproductive Health (RH) local partners and other PSI platforms in the design of FP/RH programs.
  • Execute country-level implementation plan, ensuring timely completion of project milestones
  • Manage program budget, track spending, and complete financial and other reporting as required by donors and PSI/Washington;

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • MSc/MA in a relevant subject (MPH, clinical disciplines, demography, etc.)
  • At least 5 years experience with voluntary family planning and reproductive health projects, particularly service delivery projects targeted for youth.
  • Proven record of excellent management, leadership, decision making and strong interpersonal skills

TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS

  • Demonstrated experience building the capacity of in-country platforms and organizations to improve family planning projects.
  • Previous experience in high level project financial management and budgeting
  • Effective English oral and written communications skills.
  • Familiarity with user centered design, youth and gender centered approaches to family planning and reproductive health interventions is a plus
  • Previous work within MOH or at district or regional level is also a plus
